Sudhar is a town made up of areas such as Sudhar village, Sudhar Bazaar, Gurusar Sudhar, and Pul Sudhar. It is located roughly in the middle of the road between Mullanpur and Raikot. Sudhar is also historically important in Sikh tradition. It is believed that Guru Hargobind Sahib, the sixth Sikh Guru, once gave his shoes to Bhai Jawanda Ji as a blessing. The shoes are still preserved by his descendants, and many people visit Sudhar to see them and seek blessings. Sudhar is an important centre of education in rural Punjab. It is home to G.H.G. Khalsa College, established in 1948, along with colleges of Pharmacy and Education, and well-known senior secondary schools.
